How can I glue Ceramic tiles to the exterior of my house?
Some relatives brought back some Ceramic tile house numbers from Mexico. They are very pretty but there aren’t any holes for nails. The siding is too narrow to give room for a frame. I bought some adhesive from the local hardware store but it only gives directions for bonding wood to wood and ceramic to ceramic, not wood to ceramic.. And the two sets of directions are nowhere near the same.. Is it safe to use? The product is called Devcon multi-purpose Weld-it.. It also mentions not placing the adhesive on a painted surface.. That worries me, even though the guy at the hardware store said it would be fine..
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone going through the same thing or gone through it recently?
Use Liquid Nails adhesive. It will stick anything to anything.
Actually, I’m thinking the glue you have will be OK, since it will stick ceramic to ceramic and wood to wood, common sense tells me it will stick ceramic to wood. Try it. If it falls off try something else. These aren’t the space shuttle tiles !!
